Good morning, my daughter was prescribed Amotaks 500mg/5ml 100ml bottle for angina
I made the solution according to the instructions, my daughter has been taking it for almost 5 days every 8 hours 6 ml is it possible that I am already running out of the solution or I have not made enough of it
Everywhere it is written that antibiotic therapy lasts 7 days, but this medicine will certainly not be enough for me, and the doctor did not mention how many days the bottle will last

If you administer the medicine every 8 hours, I understand that the dosage is 6 ml 3 times a day, so you administer 18 ml throughout the day. A package containing 100 ml of properly prepared suspension should therefore be sufficient for 100/18= 5.5 days (five days and one whole dose out of three, about 4 ml of suspension should remain in the bottle). Please note, however, that teaspoons or syringes for dosing the suspension do not always allow you to take the dose perfectly, so you can assume that the prescribed amount of Amotaks should last for about 5 days.
There is no rigid norm that requires antibiotic therapy to last a week. Treatment with the antibiotic Amotaks should last as long as your doctor has told you to.
