What is the risk of Belara being affected by missing two tablets?
24.99 zł

Hello. At the beginning of December (3.12) I changed my tablets from active daily to belara, placebo without interruption according to the gynecologist's recommendations. Unfortunately, I happened to miss the tablets on 20.12, and yesterday on 25.12. The next day I took two pills at once. On the other hand, on the 23rd there was unprotected intercourse, the boy did not inside me, but he had sperm on him from the previous intercourse. What is the risk of stopping contraception by missing two pills?

Information in the summary of product characteristics:

'If more than 12 hours have elapsed since you were due to take the film-coated tablet, the effectiveness of contraceptive protection may be reduced.

Take the last forgotten film-coated tablet immediately, even if you take two tablets at the same time. The next film-coated tablets should be taken at the usual time. In addition, for the next 7 days, you should also use a barrier method of contraception, e.g. a condom.

The more tablets you miss and the shorter the time until you stop taking your tablets, the higher your risk of getting pregnant.

If your current pack contains fewer than 7 tablets, you should start taking Belara from the next pack immediately after taking the last tablet in your current pack."

It is difficult to assess the risk of pregnancy in this situation. Certainly, the effectiveness of Belara's contraception is reduced because you missed two pills. In this situation, you may want to consider consulting a gynaecologist and taking the "morning after pill", if the doctor considers it necessary. I would like to draw your attention to the Belara's manufacturer's recommendation that if you miss a tablet from the last week, start the next pack without a bleeding stop.

Sticky, milky mucus is unlikely to indicate the moment of ovulation (ovulatory mucus is thin and clear).

On our website, you can order a teleconsultation with a gynaecologist - the service is available in the e-visit tab:

I would like to add that it was a 3/4 week omission of pills from the new packaging, because I didn't take a break during the change. I now have sticky, milky vaginal mucus, could this be ovulation?
