Can I miss my period after 1 contraceptive injection? If I had an injection on Tuesday and the doctor said I could have it on Sunday, but unprotected sex was on Saturday, could I be pregnant? Thanks in advance for your reply

You may not have a period after receiving an injection of Depo-Provera. According to the medicine documentation: "The majority of women receiving medroxyprogesterone acetate suspension for injection have a normal menstrual cycle (e.g. irregular or unpredictable bleeding and/or spotting, excessive or prolonged bleeding). As the use of medroxyprogesterone acetate suspension for injection continues, fewer and fewer women are experiencing irregular bleeding and an increasing number are experiencing loss of menstrual periods."
If you are given Depo-Provera at a different time than your doctor has told you (usually within 5 days of your first day), you may need to use additional contraception (e.g. a condom) for the first 14 days.
