Can I use Oftensin for narrow-angle glaucoma?

The doctor prescribed me Oftenisim for narrow-angle glaucoma. I don't know if I can take it because in the leaflet it says only with open filtration angles. Best regards

If you have any doubts about the proposed treatment, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. You can also take advantage of a teleconsultation, m.in. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja

However, according to the Oftensin summary of product characteristics:

In patients with angle-closure glaucoma, the immediate goal of treatment is to open it. It is necessary to constrict the pupil with the appropriate drug. Timolol does not constrict the pupil or narrows it minimally. In cases of angle-closure glaucoma, timolol should always be used in combination with a pupil constrictor.

The above description indicates that even in the case of a closed filtration angle, the drug can be used (in combination therapy) after consultation.

I am attaching a link that allows you to check the availability of the drug and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:
