I've been taking the contraceptive pill Symbella for 3 years now. The bleeding occurred a week before the planned week of taking the pills (21 tablets, 7 days off), and I was taking ellaone. In this case, should you take a break or start a new pack?

ellaOne may reduce the effectiveness of your regular contraceptive pills and cause mid-cycle bleeding. You should continue to take your tablets as usual (with a break) and use an additional form of contraception, e.g. condoms, until you start a new pack of Symbella tablets.
