I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis, unfortunately it manifests itself in me with very strong pain in the lower abdomen every day, several times an hour and so on throughout the day. According to the doctor's recommendation, I put on an IUD and it seems to be better because it hurts less, one hurts much longer and more often, and the current pain causes me more problems in ordinary activities such as walking. It hurts more often .not in the groin either. How long does it take to see the results of the spiral and are my current feelings normal?

The response to treatment is individual, but studies show that the first effects should be expected in the first 2-3 months after insertion of the IUD. It also all depends on the dose of hormones contained in the intrauterine system.
If you do not see any improvement after this time, you should consult your gynecologist.
"Levenorgestrol is a derivative of 19-nortestosterone and has strong gestagenic and androgenic effects. Its use causes atrophic changes in the endometrium, and thus significantly improves the clinical condition of patients with superficial or deeply infiltrating endometriosis, especially in the presence of endometrial nodules of the vaginal-rectal septum. Numerous scientific studies confirm the achievement of high concentrations of LNG in peripheral blood after the insertion of the intrauterine system, which explains its peripheral effect on endometriosis foci both within the reproductive organ and other distant organs."
