Does taking paracetamol at higher doses than 3 grams per day during the 7-day break of Orlifique affect the effectiveness of my contraception?

Good morning, I was taking paracetamol when I was sick. She also uses the contraceptive pill orlifique. I'm not sure if I didn't exceed the 3g dose because I felt very unwell. I was during a 7-day break where I didn't take orlifique. Could paracetamol taken in a dose of more than 3 g but during a 7-day break weaken the effect of the contraceptive pill?

To @asia:

One loose stool does not affect the effectiveness of contraception.
Spotting can be related to weakness, a recent infection, etc.

I encourage you to watch our short video:

Hello, I've been taking orlifique tablets for over 3 years now. Today on the 16th active pill I got a scanty brown spotting. I've been a little weak lately, and in the previous cycle I had the flu. What could be the reason for such staining? In the previous cycle, also at the end of the pack, 1.5 hours after taking the tablet, I passed loose stool, could this be the cause of this spotting after practically a month?

Do@Anna:

In this situation, there was no risk of reducing the effectiveness of contraception. Passing stool immediately after taking a tablet and another one (even liquid) after about 1.5 hours from taking the tablet is not synonymous with diarrhoea - the effect of the tablets is preserved.

Thank you very much for your reply. I still have a question about diarrhoea during the use of orlifique. The leaflet mentions increased diarrhoea, but this is not fully explained. I had a situation where I used the toilet after taking a pill, the stool was of normal consistency, but after about 1.5 hours I went again to the need and the stool unfortunately had a looser consistency. I didn't take an extra pill and I'm not sure if I did the right thing.

Taking paracetamol at higher doses than 3 grams per day during the 7-day break of Orlifique does not affect the effectiveness of your contraception.

I am attaching a link that allows you to check the availability of Orlifique and make a reservation at the pharmacy of your choice:

I encourage you not to take higher doses of paracetamol, as abuse of this active ingredient can lead to numerous side effects, such as liver damage.

We wrote about which drugs weaken the effectiveness of contraception in the article:
