Hello. I've been on helicobacter for over 14 days. There was mild hepatitis A and three erosions in the healing state. The doctor said that he thought the bacteria were gone, but he prescribed bismuth and mesopral 20 so that it wouldn't recur. I have a question, if I took mesopral 20 at 4 a.m., can I drink some dose of alcohol in the evening in company?

The Summary of Product Characteristics of both medicinal products does not clearly indicate a risk of clinically relevant adverse reactions with low alcohol consumption. Taking into account the description of the situation and the fact that the process of Helicobacter eradication and healing of the gastric mucosa is long, drinking alcohol is a really bad idea. Alcohol can cause irritation of stomach lesions, recurrence of inflammation and bleeding if the erosion is not fully healed. I encourage you to refrain from all stimulants and dietary "extravagance" until the end of the treatment and the control of the stomach image.
