Good morning, a child (2 years old) was given Pronasal to spray into the nose - she has a crooked septum. Is it possible for nasal discharge to come off a lot after this medication? I would like to add that my daughter had otitis three times before( including two purulent ear infections).

Pronasal is a steroid medication used, m.in, for hay fever and perennial allergic rhinitis. The drug reduces swelling and irritation of the nasal mucosa and reduces the amount of nasal discharge. The consequence of the abolition of oedema may be clearing of the upper respiratory tract, which may be observed as a temporary increase in the amount of secretion.
