Can doxycycline cause headache and neck pain? My doctor has changed the dosage, should I take the medicine?

Hello
The dermatologist prescribed me doxycycline for perioral inflammation for 30 days 1x1 but after taking 13 tablets I have a headache and neck pain on the right side. The doctor told me to take it every other day and if the symptoms don't go away, stop it. I'm afraid to take it, though.

Side effects such as headache and muscle and joint pain have been reported with doxycycline. Side effects may or may not occur. Your doctor has adjusted your dosage to reduce the likelihood of further side effects. Therefore, it is worth following the new recommendations, and in the event of recurrence of side effects, discontinue the drug, according to the information provided by the specialist.
