Is there really a need for an ultrasound scan before using Evra?

I asked the gynaecologist for a meeting because I would like to use the EVRA patch as a contraceptive, he told me that he will have to do an ultrasound. I would like to know if there is really a need for ultrasound.

It is worth performing ultrasound systematically - it is a routine examination that allows for early detection of various ailments.
