For a child weighing 31 kg, the recommended dose is 310 mg per day. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, the dose of the drug proposed by the doctor is too high, which could lead to the child's malaise. Please consult your pediatrician. Your doctor may prescribe Sumamed suspension - it will be easier to administer the right dose of the medicine in the case of syrup.
The usual recommended dose is 10 mg/kg/day, given as a single dose once daily for 3 consecutive days (maximum dose is 30 mg/kg). Alternatively, the same total dose may be given for 5 days: 10 mg/kg on the first day and then 5 mg/kg/day for the remaining four days. The maximum total dose in children is 1500 mg.
