Ozempic is a prescription drug. When using it, you should follow the dosage instructions given by your doctor.
The recommended dosage according to the Summary of Product Characteristics is to gradually increase the dose of semglutide (Ozempic), starting at a dose of 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg for at least 4 weeks, then a dose of 1 mg. The gradual increase in the dose is aimed at selecting an appropriate maintenance dose and reducing the feeling of possible side effects.
