I was given contraception by my gynaecologist – Evra patches. In the contraindications, I read that they cannot be used if there are migraines with aura. About 10 years ago, in many adolescences, I had a migraine with aura once every few months. For the last 6 years I have only had 2 episodes of migraine with aura. Can I use evra in this case?

The use of Evra patches may increase the frequency and severity of migraines. If you have not mentioned these ailments to the gynaecologist who recommended Evra patches, it is worth re-consulting. Taking this into account, your doctor may suggest another safe method of contraception.
