Does Levosert work during my fertile days?

Mom has had an IUD on for 1.5 months and is still bleeding. However, my husband and I decided (after a thorough wash) to have sex with the finale inside. It turned out that I had fertile days. Does the cylinder work at this point or should we be concerned?

The Levosert IUD is a very effective method of contraception, so the risk of pregnancy is negligible. It provides contraceptive protection for the entire duration of use, so it is difficult to say that "fertile days are occurring". Under the influence of the IUD, the endometrium (lining of the uterus) changes - the cervical mucus thickens, which prevents sperm from entering, preventing fertilization. For this reason, the manufacturer does not indicate the need to use an additional method of contraception during ovulation.
