Captopril is a medication used to treat high blood pressure and some other cardiovascular conditions. Alcohol can exacerbate some of the side effects of captopril, such as dizziness or feeling dizzy. In addition, alcohol can affect blood pressure, which can affect the effectiveness of high blood pressure treatment. For this reason, it is not recommended to use the drug in combination with alcohol or after drinking it.
