Can my GP give me my first prescription for methylphenidate or does it have to be a specialist?

Is a family doctor (internist?) Is it possible to issue a prescription for Methylphenidate for chronic fatigue?
This is the first prescription of the drug, not the continuation of treatment, for example.

I'm afraid that a consultation with a psychiatrist will be necessary. A GP will usually consult a specialist.
