A month ago, my daughter took Amoksiklav - can I give it again?

Hello, daughter ok. A month ago she was taking the antibiotic Amoksiklav, the disease has returned, can I give her Amoksiklav again? Could it be that this antibiotic is given too often and the interval has to be longer?

The antibiotic Amoksiklav should only be administered after consultation with a doctor and preferably after confirmation that the infection is of bacterial origin. Otherwise, m.in may lead to the development of antibiotic resistance, which we wrote more about in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/antybiotyki-czy-przestana-dzialac

What's more, frequent administration of an antibiotic can have negative effects on the child's body, including m.in. gut microbiome: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/probiotyki-dla-dzieci
