Can Forxiga replace Entresto?

Good morning, I thought Forxiga could replace Entresto but I understand that it needs to be added, right?

Both drugs are not substitutes in pharmacological terms and differ from each other primarily in the medicinal substance as well as the spectrum of indications.

Please remember that both medicines are subject to a prescription and it is the doctor who decides on the course of therapy based on your medical records.

Entresto is indicated in adult patients for the treatment of symptomatic, chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.

Forxiga, on the other hand, is indicated for use in adults for the treatment of symptomatic chronic heart and kidney failure, as well as for the treatment of inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus, as an adjunctive therapy.

You should see your doctor and consult with him or her the need to introduce another drug into the therapy.

If you are unable to contact your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
