You did not include the name of the medicine in your question. If your question is about Momecutan tagged, please read on.
According to the leaflet, "Momecutan is used to treat all inflammatory and pruritus skin conditions that respond to topical glucocorticoid treatment, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and irritant and/or allergic contact dermatitis." Lichen planus pilaris is probably an autoimmune disease. Treatment is based, m.in, on the use of anti-inflammatory drugs. As a steroid drug, Momecutan has m.in anti-inflammatory effects.
