Can Momecutan be used for lichen planus pilaris?

Hello, I have been diagnosed with lichen planus pilaris and I have been prescribed this medication however I have doubts about it. From what I've been waiting for, it's typical for psoriasis

You did not include the name of the medicine in your question. If your question is about Momecutan tagged, please read on.

According to the leaflet, "Momecutan is used to treat all inflammatory and pruritus skin conditions that respond to topical glucocorticoid treatment, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and irritant and/or allergic contact dermatitis." Lichen planus pilaris is probably an autoimmune disease. Treatment is based, m.in, on the use of anti-inflammatory drugs. As a steroid drug, Momecutan has m.in anti-inflammatory effects.

If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of the recommended treatment, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. You can also take advantage of a teleconsultation via e.g. the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
