What should I do if I have started taking Atywia tablets when spotting has occurred and bleeding has not yet appeared?

Hello, I have just started taking hormonal contraception, I took the Atyvia pill most likely too early (on day 1 of spotting, the bleeding has not started yet), should I continue or stop?

If spotting means the start of menstruation, then the first tablet should be taken during the spotting. Do not wait until your period has "kicked in" and the bleeding is already intense.

If you are not sure whether the first day of spotting is the first day of menstruation - you can use additional protection in the form of a condom for the first 7 days of using Atyvia tablets as a preventive measure.
