Three weeks ago, my primary care physician prescribed me thiocodin for dry cough (8 tablets). This week, another primary care physician recommended flegamin for wet cough. I have a strange feeling that there is an interaction between them, because in the evenings when I feel like coughing, I find it difficult to cough and I feel a bit like I'm choking. I can't go space. What should I do?

Thiocodin suppresses the cough reflex, while Phlegamine increases the amount of mucus in the airways, liquefies it and facilitates expectoration. Therefore, Phlegamine should be used during the day to facilitate expectoration, and Thiocodin can be used at bedtime to suppress the cough reflex and make it easier to fall asleep. Do not use the medication at the same time because it has the opposite effect.
