No. Amitriptyline is an analgesic and antidepressant from the group of tricyclic antidepressants. There is no evidence that amitriptyline directly affects the result of a pregnancy test. The result of a pregnancy test is usually detected by the level of the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in a woman's urine. Medications such as amitriptyline should not affect hCG levels, which are the basis of most pregnancy tests.
