Hello, a question about the paroxetine drug. The drug I wanted to buy is not available in Poland now - Rexetin, I replaced it with Parogen but here is my question, one has paroxetine chloride hemihydrate (rexetin) and the other has paroxetine chloride anhydrous (parogen). Is there any difference for the organism, half-life, excretion, metabomizing, etc? I can't find data on this anywhere. Seroxat is also semi-hydrate, but the price is very prohibitive of Serosat.
Thank you in advance,
Best regards!

Both medicines, Rexetin and Parogen, contain the same active substance, paroxetine. The difference between the two is due to the different salts of paroxetine and/or the crystalline form in which it is available.
Overall, the two forms of the drug have a similar therapeutic effect because the active substance, paroxetine, is the same. However, there is a possibility that some patients may react slightly differently to different forms of the drug. This is an individual matter, difficult to estimate on the basis of a short description.
The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book the medicine at a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it after presenting a prescription:
