Taking an extra placebo tablet instead of the active one can be considered as missing the first tablet. For the next seven days, you should use additional protection as the effectiveness of contraception may be reduced.
Information contained in the leaflet:
'If you forget to take a tablet on days 1 to 7 (first row of tablets)
Take the missed tablet as soon as you remember, even if it means you need to take two tablets at once. Take the next tablets at the usual time and use additional protection, such as condoms, for the next 7 days. If you had sex in the week before you missed a tablet, contact your doctor - it is possible to become pregnant."
