Is it dangerous to use disulfiram in a person with hypertension?

Hello, today my husband decided to "hide".. As he had planned, he did. Everything seems ok, except that he feels "strangely weak" But what started to worry me. After the surgeon sewed him 10 tablets of disulfiram, I read that it should not be used in people with hypertension. I'm starting to worry a lot, could something happen to my husband?

Hypertension is a contraindication to the use of disulfiram. If, despite everything, the doctor has decided to use the drug in the form of a subcutaneous label on your husband, it is worth it for him to monitor his blood pressure regularly, and in the event of alarming symptoms - consult a doctor.

Excessive tiredness and drowsiness are typical side effects, especially in the first days after the administration of disulfiram - these types of symptoms should not be alarming. Unless they would be accompanied by, for example, fainting, dizziness, permanent headaches - then you should consult a doctor.

If you do not have the opportunity to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here:
