Can I be addicted to lorazepam if I've been taking it for 8 years?
I have insomnia. I have been taking lorazepam for 8 years. Once or twice a week before going to bed. Because I sleep for one or two hours without a pill, and sometimes I won't fall asleep at all. Trying other types doesn't help. Are they addictions?

Long-term use of the drug can cause physical and psychological dependence.
It is worth consulting a psychiatrist and determining another method of treatment.
