Did the three-day interval between the patch and the vaginal disc affect the quality of contraception?

Three days ago I took off the contraceptive patch. Today my period will start as planned, so I applied an intrauterine disc and after a few hours the bleeding stopped. Is this normal? Did the three-day break affect the quality of contraception?

Changes from the patches to the disc should be made immediately after removing the patch or after a 7-day break from removing the 3rd patch - that is, when you would stick another patch from the new packaging.

Introducing a new method of contraception, such as the intrauterine disc, three days after removing the patch is not correct and may affect your menstrual cycle and bleeding schedule.
In this situation, after the change, it is necessary to additionally use a mechanical method of contraception in the first 7 days.
