If after an hour of taking the contraceptive pill there was a slight abdominal pain and "diarrheal" feces, is the protection reduced?

Good morning
If after an hour of taking the contraceptive pill I had a slight abdominal pain caused by defecation that was "diarrheal", "mushy" protection is reduced? If I am on the last two blister tablets, will this protection be reduced for 2 days and 7 days off? Only after starting a new package after 7 days will there be full protection?

No, a single loose stool does not affect the effectiveness of birth control pills. A disposable liquid or semi-liquid stool is not diarrhea. Diarrhea is passing loose stool more than 3 times a day. In this situation, there is no need to take another pill.

The effectiveness of contraceptives is limited by the disease with diarrhea. This can prevent the ingredients in the pill from being absorbed, so they will not be able to counteract pregnancy.

In these situations, you should use additional protection (condom) for a week. If vomiting or diarrhoea occurs less than 3-4 hours after taking the tablet, take another pill immediately. Additional security is not needed in such a situation.
