It is impossible to say unequivocally that one drug is "safer" than the other, because it depends on the specific clinical situation and the needs of the patient. Only the attending physician will be able to make a decision based on an analysis of the benefits and risks of your particular situation.

The active substance in both drugs is completely different, so it is necessary to consult a doctor, even by phone. It is generally assumed that 4mg of methyprared corresponds to approximately 7.5mg of calcort.

If you are not able to take advantage of the advice, I enclose a link to online teleadvice, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book a medicine in a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it upon presentation of a prescription: Metypred: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/48768/metypred-tabletki/apteki

Calcort: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/14798/calcort-tabletki/apteki
