Last month I used contraception Atywia Daily, after a month I switched to Belara, and my period is almost two weeks late. I would like to add that last month I got a period scheduled with a calendar and I took the first tablet from the Atywia Daily package, the pregnancy test is negative, what can it mean? Is it the fault of belara tablets?

Changing birth control pills can sometimes affect the regularity of your menstrual cycle. Switching from Atywia Daily tablets to Belara can introduce some hormonal changes that can affect the length and regularity of menstruation. Delayed menstruation may be one of the side effects that sometimes occur in the first month of use (or less severe also in the second cycle on tablets) and should disappear spontaneously with the next pack. However, it is worth noting that delayed menstruation can also have other causes, such as stress, lifestyle changes, infections or other health factors. If the pregnancy test is negative, this is good news, but if the delay in menstruation persists or other worrying symptoms appear, it is worth consulting a doctor.
