Didn't the disc work if I got bleeding before I took it out?

Can despite the correct use of the disc, it may not work or have a weakened effect? I do not take any medication, I do not take it out for more than 3 hours. I got unexpected bleeding before removing the disc. Could this mean that it did not work? Should I use additional contraception after inserting a new system?

If the disc is used correctly, it provides contraceptive protection. Don't worry. Intracyclic bleeding is one of the common side effects of using hormonal contraception. If they are repeated, then it is worth consulting a gynecologist to exclude non-hormonal causes of unusual bleeding.
