Hello, I am 4 days after the end of my period (9th day of the cycle) and I took the first contraceptive pill drovelis (I also never took any contraception). Is it true that in this case, if I did not take it on the 1-5th day of the cycle for the first month, I am not protected?

Generally, in the case of Drovelis contraceptive pills, it is recommended to start taking on the first day of menstrual bleeding, i.e. on the first day of the cycle. This increases the effectiveness of contraception in the first month. You can also start taking the tablets between the 2nd and 5th day of the menstrual cycle, but then for the first 7 days of taking the tablets it is recommended to use additional mechanical contraception, e.g. a condom. If you start using this medicine at a different time, you should use an additional method of contraception throughout the first pack, as the medicine may not provide contraceptive protection. The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book Drovelis in a selected stationary pharmacy and pick up after presenting a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/111326/drovelis-tabletki-powlekane/apteki I enclose materials that may be interesting and information about the possibility of using teleconsultation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-jedzenie-i-picie-obnizaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji
