The use of sumatriptan (the active ingredient in Frimig) with fluoxetine (the active ingredient in Seronil) increases the risk of a rare but serious side effect, serotonin syndrome. It may be accompanied by symptoms such as fever, sweating, increased heart rate, diarrhoea, (uncontrolled) muscle spasms, chills, increased reflexes, anxiety, mood swings, loss of consciousness. If the drugs have been prescribed by different doctors, consultation is necessary whether they can be used simultaneously. You may need to change your treatment. If your medicine has been prescribed by the same doctor, you can take Frimig as prescribed. If you notice any side effects after taking the medicine, please contact your doctor immediately.
