Good morning, I take belara tablets for 10 months and usually a week before the break he gets as if his period and he feels like that and during the 7 day break he normally gets withdrawal bleeding, he wants to point out that he always takes the tablets at the same time . The doctor, when I told him about the bleeding a week before the 7-day break between pills, told me that it could be so and I have a question: can it really be so, or go to another doctor? (Before the pills, the period was once a month).

Bleeding or mid-cyclic spotting may occur while taking the contraceptive pill. Most often this occurs in the first months of using hormonal contraception (usually the first 3-4 months). This is the so-called adaptation period, during which the body adapts to the influence of hormones contained in contraceptive pills. A situation in which spotting begins to appear regularly after a longer period of use of a given method of contraception, which was not accompanied by similar ailments, is considered a cause for concern and an absolute indication for consultation with a gynecologist. If a method of contraception has been used for 10 months and the repeated spotting persists, it is worth discussing with your doctor the appropriateness of changing the contraceptive pill or contraceptive method.
