Consumption of moderate amounts is not contraindicated on the day of insertion of the contraceptive implant. After implantation, alcohol can be consumed. However, it is worth waiting a few days to make sure that the drug does not cause significant side effects - alcohol consumption may interfere with the correct assessment of health and it will not be known whether any side effects are caused by the use of the drug or alcohol.
