Good morning. I use contraception Atywia Daily and always take the pill around 11:20/12:30. It was the 6th tablet of the bilister. Today after 4 o'clock in the morning I vomited twice. Once what I drank (water), and then bile, but only a little.. Yesterday around 4:30 p.m. I drank alcohol. Am I protected? Do I need to apply additional protection? The day before, I made love without mechanical protection with the end inside. Thank you for your reply.

Two loose stools 7 hours after taking the tablet do not affect its effectiveness. Diarrhoea (i.e. at least 3 stools with an excessively loose consistency) and vomiting affect the effectiveness of contraception if they occur within 3-4 hours of taking the drug.
Thank you very much for your reply. I still wanted to ask, after 7 hours of taking the pill as there are two loose, small bowel movements whether it can affect contraception?

Vomiting about 16 hours after taking Atywia Daily does not affect its effectiveness. There is no need to supplement the tablet or use additional protection. Alcohol consumption alone does not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception.
