Is swelling and inflammation in my arms and legs caused by Mesopral?

I take mesopral 40 for a few days I have a problem with arms and legs,as if I walked on nettles, for this swelling and looks like phlebitis. Could this be the result of taking this medicine?

To @Emil:

As a pharmacist, I recommend caution in modifying treatment without medical consultation.

An itchy rash can be a side effect of Mesopral, but stopping the drug abruptly can be risky. I suggest considering reducing the dose of Mesopral to 20 mg every other day, continuing Prokit as directed. At the same time, I encourage you to monitor your condition carefully and if your symptoms worsen or new ones appear, and seek medical help.

After returning to the country, please consult your attending physician in order to assess the situation and possibly modify the therapy.

Since about 25.06.2024 I have been taking Mesopral 20mg, one tablet a day, in the morning on an empty stomach. About a week ago I noticed a very itchy rash - at the moment especially around the feet and elbows. Additionally, he takes Prokit 50mg three times a day, before meals.
Should I stop taking Mesopral or maybe stop taking both medicines. I am currently abroad and I will not have access to doctors for another 10 days

Swelling and inflammation of the skin are uncommon side effects of Mesopral - may affect up to 1 in 100 people. I encourage you to report side effects to your doctor. This allows us to gather more information about the safety of medicines and update data about them, which may help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane Side effects of drugs can also be reported individually: https://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-lecznicze/monitorowanie-bezpieczeństwa-leków/zg elk-side-effect-0
