Good morning, I will start using birth control pills for the first time soon. At the visit to the gynecologist I forgot to ask how to use the pills when my cycles are longer than 28 days (usually 45, I was at the visit because I was worried about whether they were hormonal problems, but I found out that this is my nature). Does a longer cycle affect the way you take the pills? Best regards

The length of the current cycle does not affect the intake of contraceptive pills. Two-component contraceptive pills are usually used in a scheme of 21 tablets with active substances and 7 days break or 24 tablets with active substances and 4 days break. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the materials that will certainly prove helpful when using hormonal contraception: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-jedzenie-i-picie-obnizaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji
