Hello, I bought a non-hormonal spiral tcu 380 ag, whose expiration date expires 08/2023. I will wear it in 06/2023. Is the insert due to the expiration date until 08/2023. Will it fulfill its task, i.e. protect against pregnancy for the period for which it was intended (5 years)? Best regards

Yes, the insert will do its job. If the expiration date of the TCu 380Ag insole expires in August 2023, and you plan to put it on in June 2023, it will still fully fulfill its task and protect against pregnancy for the period for which it was intended, i.e. for 5 years. In this case, the expiration date is the deadline for inserting the IUD so that the properly installed TCu 380Ag spiral can maintain its contraceptive effect for 5 years after insertion.
