Do symptoms such as numbness and tingling in the legs, feeling of heavy legs, leg pain mean that I can no longer use Nuvaring?

For 10 years I used hormonal contraception - N.Ring. After a 2-year break, I wanted to come back to them. After inserting 1 disc around the 10th day, symptoms such as numbness and tingling in the legs, a feeling of heavy legs, pain in one leg occurred. I removed NR, but does that mean I can no longer use them?

If you have experienced worrying symptoms after putting on a new contraceptive ring, it is best to consult a doctor or gynecologist to discuss your complaints. The symptoms you described: swelling of the limbs, a feeling of heaviness in the legs, pain felt when walking or standing for a long time, may indicate thrombosis. Thrombosis can occur at any time during contraceptive use, but the risk is greatest during the first year and especially during the first three months of use. In this situation, I encourage you to make an appointment with a gynecologist who will adjust the treatment according to your current clinical condition. If you are unable to get to your doctor, the GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem I enclose additional information that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/antykoncepcja-a-zakrzepica-jakie-jest-ryzyko
