Not all side effects and not in every case require discontinuation of therapy. In the described case, the risk assessment should be carried out by the doctor who prescribed the drug and on this basis decide whether it should be discontinued. We do not have enough information about your treatment and health condition to help and clearly determine the appropriate pattern of conduct. I enclose the leaflet of Xifaxan: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/84652/xifaxan-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka and additional information: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/3-kroki-do-zdrowych-jelit https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/zespol-jelita-drazliwego-ibs https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/zespol-jelita-drazliwego-z-pamietnika-pacjentki I encourage you to report side effects. This allows us to gather more information about the safety of medicines and update data about them, which may help other patients in the future. We wrote about how to report them here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane Side effects of drugs can also be reported individually: https://www.urpl.gov.pl/pl/produkty-lecznicze/monitorowanie-bezpieczeństwa-leków/zg elk-side-effect-0
