Analgesic and warming patches, gels and ointments
Does ketonal injection damage the stomach? I can not take pills because despite the cover I have severe abdominal pain and nausea. Will I also have such symptoms after the injection?

The use of ketoprofen contained in Ketonal intravenous form does not reduce the risk of gastric mucosal damage and gastrointestinal disorders compared to ketoprofen taken orally. In patients with gastrointestinal disorders, peptic ulcer disease or a tendency to gastrointestinal bleeding, gastroprotection with proton pump inhibitors can be used to reduce the risk of gastric mucosal damage, e.g. - Controloc Control: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/19739/controloc-control-tabletki/apteki, - Bioprazole Bio Max: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/11808/bioprazol-bio-max-kapsulki/apteki. Using the links above, you can make a reservation at a selected pharmacy or make an on-line purchase with home delivery or collection at a pharmacy. In some cases, the physician may also decide to replace non-selective NSAIDs (e.g. ketoprofen contained in Ketonal) with selective COX-2 inhibitors with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, less toxic to the gastrointestinal tract. As these medicines are only available on prescription, only a doctor can decide whether to use them: - Roticox: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/95270/roticox-tabletki-powlekane/apteki, - Aclexa: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/1831/aclexa-kapsulki/apteki.
