Has anyone used Provera 10mg for 90 days for endometrial hyperplasia? What side effects did you have? What worries me the most is weight gain and facial hair.

Opinions, questions and answers of pharmacists about Provera can be found at the following link: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/64912/provera-tabletki/pytania Please note, however, that side effects may or may not occur. It is also an individual matter whether and what side effects will appear in you. They may not appear at all, or they may appear completely different than in other patients. The experience of other people with a given drug does not clearly answer the questions of how it will be tolerated in your case. And what if there are no spotting only 31 days of hemorrhage?! With clots, huge pain and huge anemia? I also got endometrial hyperplasia, but my life is hell now! I have no chance for consultations with a gynalist – I don't live in Pk and here I have to be referred to by another drug.

Up to @ewcia23:

The dose and schedule of Provera will be determined by your doctor.

The most commonly used dosing regimens according to the SmPC are:
"- continuous regimen: from 2.5 to 5 mg per day, - sequential regimen: 5 to 10 mg per day, for 10 - 14 consecutive days of 28-day cycle."

If you have any doubts about the recommended dosage, it is worth consulting the doctor who recommended its use.

To @Agata:

Yes, bleeding while taking Propera is a normal symptom and does not indicate that the treatment has failed. . This is due to the action of the drug that causes the exfoliation of the exuberant endometrium. Menstruation can occur only after the end of a 3-month treatment, not during it. The drug blocks the menstrual cycle.

In some patients, the bleeding may stop completely after about 2 weeks of taking Provera, in others it may take longer. Sometimes it is necessary to extend the treatment for more than 90 days if endometrial hyperplasia persists.

After discontinuation of Propera therapy, endometrial thickness should be monitored regularly, as there is a risk of recurrence of hypertrophy.

I am in the process of using a once daily 10 mg provery due to endometrial hyperplasia. Today is the 30th day of taking the drug, and I haven't had my period yet. Around 15 days of taking the drug, bleeding occurred that lasted about 7 days. Have any of you used the drug in this dosage for endometrial hyperplasia? What is your experience with such treatment?

Hi. I'm on the 39th day of taking provera. My side effect is the lack of another period and spotting from the 20th day of use. In total, I do not know if this is a normal visit I have only in two weeks.
