What to do if there is a quality defect in the purchased drug?

Good morning, I take the medicine (prescription) daily in capsules. Every package, it happens that in the leaf, the capsule after opening is defective, because it is crushed or only one part of it. What should I do in such a situation. I do not take such a drug and take another one. But then I miss a few pills for the next visit to the doctor. Please reply to email:ewelinaaszfort@interia.pl

A quality defect in the medicinal preparation should be reported. The application can be made at the pharmacy where the preparation was purchased. You can also inform the Provincial Pharmaceutical Inspectorate, as well as send a notification to the Entity Responsible for the manufacture of a given drug. In the case of Prefaxine shown in the picture, the Marketing Authorisation Holder is Zakłady Farmaceutyczne POLPHARMA SA, Pelplińska 19, 83-200 Starogard Gdański. I enclose a link to check the availability of Prefaxine and make a reservation at the selected pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/63485/prefaxine-kapsulki-o-przedluzonym-uwalnianiu/apteki Damaged capsules are the basis for returning the drug to the pharmacy, which we wrote about in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/kiedy-lek-mozna-zwrocic-do-apteki
