When to do a prolactin test if I take birth control pills?

Hello. Currently I take novynette but I have to change to drovelis without taking a break. I got a referral for prolactin from a dermatologist between 1 and 5 days of the cycle... When then should I do the test if I take it one by one without a break?

Have you informed the dermatologist ordering the tests about the use of birth control pills? If not, I would recommend contacting him again and determining if and when to do the test. It is possible to perform the test while using the contraceptive pill, but the effect of contraceptive pills on the results of the study should be taken into account (birth control pills may slightly increase prolactin levels). If the dermatologist was informed that you were using birth control pills, the test should be performed as directed, i.e. between the 1st and 5th day of the cycle (1-5 days of taking pills from the new package - Drovelis). About how to prepare for a blood test, we suggest in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-przygotowac-sie-do-badania-krwi
