Can I open and take the contents of the Symfaxin ER capsule itself?

Good morning. I take symfaxin er prolonged-release capsules. Can I open them and swallow the contents of the capsule. There are 3 tablets inside. I have trouble swallowing capsules. In the pharmacy the lady said that I can, but I prefer to make sure. Please reply.

According to the manufacturer of Symfaxin ER: "The capsules should be swallowed whole with liquid. They must not be divided, crushed, chewed or dissolved."
