Does iodine evaporate or precipitate from the salt used to cook food?

Good morning, I have a question about iodized salt. Can iodine somehow precipitate from salt and evaporate with water, for example, when cooking, resulting in a reduction in the amount of iodine in the diet consumed? I apologize in advance if this is something obvious :)

No, iodine from salt does not precipitate or evaporate, in general, heat treatment of the dish slightly reduces the amount of iodine. It is good to use iodized salt to add salt to salinate dishes such as sandwiches or salads - then no percentage of iodine contained in the salt will be "wasted" as a result of hot temperatures.
