Hello, for 2 weeks I take sertranorm at a dose of 25 mg and I feel worse and worse mentally, ie I am still down and I have dizziness, my hands are shaking, my head hurts, my heart is pounding. This is supposedly normal, but how can I minimize these side effects to function normally? Are there any ways?

Please report the symptoms you describe to your doctor. You should not, or even must not, change the dose yourself. In selected cases, the psychiatrist may add sedatives at the beginning of treatment until Sertranorm starts to work, which is about 2-3 weeks. This is more or less how long the symptoms described by you can last. After this time, they usually pass, and if not - this is a reason to consider modifying the treatment. Please note that side effects of medicines should be reported to your doctor or individually. By reporting side effects, you help other patients, including your relatives, who may also need the same medicine one day. This step also allows you to gather more information on the safety of medicinal products and to update data on them.
