Scope of indications covered by reimbursement (lump sum): Treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) in patients previously treated with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) – induction therapy, up to 12 weeks (the condition for implementing treatment is to document the performance of endoscopic examination with the collection for histopathological assessment of at least 6 mucosal sections from the proximal and distal part of the esophagus, with confirmation of EoE by the presence of equal to or greater than 15 eosinophilia numbers at high magnification).
